On Sunday morning, we made our way to the breakfast restaurant and sat under the large arches, overlooking the ocean as we had our coffee and omelets.  Yum!

The morning entertainment around here is watching the whales breach and the rays fly.  It seems the rays have parasites and the whales have barnacles, so they either jump out of the water to get rid of them or scratch themselves on the sand to wear down the barnacles.  Not a bad start to the holiday, a free show each morning.  Watch the whales splash.

On Thursdays, the cruise ships are in port at Cabo San Lucas. So perhaps that's why the whales came over to our beach and gave us a good show that afternoon. Typically, the mother surfaces and flaps its tail or fin and the calf jumps up out of the water. Click on the link to see a slide show.

Sunday morning was cool but we sat by the pool, enjoyed the sun and a few cocktails and waited in anticipation for the rest of the family to arrive.  We took a walk on the beach. Leon’s knee was bothering him so it was a short one.

However, we noticed a nice room with a perfect view of the ocean and a full sized hot tub on its balcony.  As the day went on, we started to wonder what an upgrade like that one might cost.  And of course, time-share resorts are all about upgrades. So we inquired at the desk and long  story short, we got the suite with the large hot tub, a full kitchen and living-dining room and the most incredible panoramic view!
We were not disappointed as we managed to see so many great sights from the comfort of our hot tub, including an evening proposal on the beach, a great tiki party that we could not attend since we were not club members and a wedding at the neighbouring  hotel, complete with fireworks that although short, may have rivaled our Canada Day festivities.  Well sort of…
