Last summer, Leon and I visited the village of Alert Bay on Cormorant Island, near Port McNeil. I wrote a blog post about it, mentioning the residential school that was a sad and striking landmark at the entrance of the ferry dock. Today, Leon has written a post on his website regarding this former school and the proud ‘Namgis First Nation. I hope you’ll take some time to read and comment on his post. You can find it at LeonJensen.ca.
