Today was another sunny day. Not too hot though. I started with some gardening. Did some more trimming around the rose bushes, hoping they will bloom again in the fall. There are many rose bushes on the property, which is probably what reminds me of Tuscany so much. I had to take a few cuttings to put in a tall jar I found. Then we had tea and cake on the patio. We worked on our respective computer projects and then had a very late lunch, again on the patio. After that, Leon suggested we take a drive a few kms out to see if we might spot some roos. No luck again today, but that might be because it’s too hot during the day for them to be in out in open.
We ended up at Eppalock Lake, a man made reservoir. Unfortunately, the bridge over it was closed, probably because of the high water levels this spring. You can see by the picture that the water runs smoothly over what seems almost like a dam. I thought it might be fun to just use it as a giant water slide.

This evening, I plan to bake some Anzac biscuits in honour of the Aussie holiday tomorrow. I don’t think they will be as delicious as the ones we got the other day, but I’ll let you know. I’ll even post a recipe if they do turn out.
As we are leaving for Melbourne tomorrow, I won’t get to post. So Happy Aussie Day to all my Aussie friends!!
PS, I did some driving today. I am really not very good at it. At least I look cute in my smart hat!
