It’s been an eventful week.  Leon was in Yellowknife, I was plotting my next big move.  It seems like I am always applying for some new opportunity.  It’s starting to be a habit, in the same way some people keep entering contests.  The latest opportunity came in the form of an inquiry about teacher exchanges to Australia.  I was just asking, but I got an unexpected response that there may actually be another Business teacher out there looking to exchange for a year.  I considered it, shook myself a little and forgot about it until this week.  Another email arrived, more urgent in nature, saying the potential candidate has just the right stuff to change places with me.  Did I want to proceed?  How can I not?

So the rest of the week has been about filling out forms, getting permissions and talking to my husband and children about what we need to do to make this happen.  So far, husband is fully on board, children are either iffy or anxiously upset.  Not good.  But still, Australia!!!!  Think of it!!! One full year living, travelling and working in Australia!!!
