We have visited the Tucson area before, especially the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. At the end of a hard day of driving, we decided to pull into a KOA RV resort we had stayed in the previous year. As a matter of fact, I think we might have been parked in the same spot before, right between an olive tree and a lemon tree.
This resort features 2 pools and hot tubs, a cantina/bar and a very relaxed vibe. It was just the thing I wanted after many days of driving. The sun was hot and the skies were clear. It was such a lovely setting that we stayed for 2 nights just to recharge our batteries. We met some great people who were visiting for as long as 6 months. They loved this location so much they returned year after year.
We never did tour Tucson as we had planned. I guess that will be for another time. But I must say that the surrounding mountains are colourful and the saguaro cacti are the friendliest. Those are the ones that look like they have arms. I feel like they are always waiving at me. Love those!
