After we left Wagga Wagga, we headed to Albury on the border of Victoria. We stopped for a tea, walked around a little and then continued south to the Alpine region of Victoria. My school has a cottage in Harrietville, in the ski region, and we wanted to see what that area might be like. We are thinking it would be neat to ski in Australia this winter, just to say we’ve tried it. So we drove South and the over the Australian Alps on a very snaky winding road at a high altitude, by Australian standards. The highest peak in that area, Mt. Bogong, is almost 2000 meters above sea level. You can see why the area behind me was called Mt. Beauty.
