I wanted to add more pictures from our trip to Newfoundland. We visited so many parts of the province that it was hard to include all the details in each post. One day we took a tour of the Cabot Tower, most notable for the first wireless international communication thanks to Marconi. Who knew we had been communicating wirelessly for so many years?
Port Royal on a very foggy day going down the Irish Loop. The French had it first but then the British took it, etc. By now, we knew the drill.across from the Cabot Tower – Fort Amherst? The Cabot Tower, built in the 1800s to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Jubilee. What did we build for Queen Elizabeth II to celebrate her Jubilee?St. Johns Harbour, which is really very small and narrow to get through.
Looks lovely and peaceful!
